Ancient Egypt Newspaper Project


You and three partners will create, design, and publish a “current’ newspaper of Ancient Egypt.  Each section of your newspaper will need to include facts researched and learned about the different features of civilization of Ancient Egypt. 

Remember that you need to include the following:
Required Sections in Newspaper:

  1. National News/Front Page with newspaper title and quote (motto)
  2. Religious News
  3. Art News
  4. Government News
  5. Business/Trade News
  6. Want Ads/Advertisements

Suggestions/Ideas for Each Newspaper Page:

  1. National News/Front Page with newspaper title and quote – major wars, major events
  2. Religious News – stories about Egyptian gods, pharaohs that change religion
  3. Art News – stories about artists or art or buildings created by Ancient Egyptians
  4. Government News -  pharaohs giving or changing laws, change of power among pharaohs, how the empire
  5. Business/Trade News -  treaties/agreements to trade with other empires, ways that Egyptians earned an income, social classes that became rich from business
  6. Want Ads/Advertisements – creative want ads for help, selling items or skills that were well known in Ancient Egypt, advertisements for products made in Ancient Egypt, add pictures of products in ads
